Feels Like Spring

Is There A Perfect Face?

Even I do ask myself is there really a perfect face? In my reading I just got an answe. NO!

       Every face has its imperfections. thus, no two eyes are the same shape and no two brows are arched in the same manner. This precisely is one of the purposes of make-up...to correct imperfections and to enhance the good points.

        So there you are women be happy of what we've got!

                                                     Facial Exercises

Excellent exercises for the face to improve facial muscle tone can be done at home. Make it a daily habit. Here are some:

Eyelid Firmer:  To discourage forehead lines, look in the mirror. Stare wide-eyed as in a surprised look. Shut eyes tightly. Repeat six times.

Forehead lift: To smoothen out those fine lines around the mouth, look at yourself in the mirror. Force a smile with lips closed. Now pucker up those lips as though giving someone a close kiss.

Cheeky blow-up: This is a mouth fine line remover. Shut your mouth and with closed lips puff up your cheeks. Push air from one side of the cheek to the next. Slowly release the air. Repeat six times.

Chin-up: This should help you avoid double chin. With an open mouth, thrust forward and up. Feel the chin and neck muscles tighten. Release. Repeat.

Neck-firm: This is your great neck muscle firmer. With an open mouth, say "blah"while sticking your tongue out and downward. It looks funny but it's fun. source: no more wrinkles

Thanksgiving Outfit

If people went bar hopping or store hopping last night hubby and I went house hopping. We came home around 10:00 pm and I had a glass of wine (of course I am not the one driving) so by the time we arrived home I just slumped right at the couch and watched tv and rest. But I like to share to everyone what I wore yesterday for a woman in her 40's I pull off this top along with a faded pants. Oh by the way we had a very good weather yesterday and so today. Blue Dishes

Yesterday, I went out looking for a blue dish. You see my love for blue dishes started when I was garage sale-ing and this guy gave me his one box of blue dishes for just $4.00!! Yup it's a whooping $4.00 I almost fainted. Anyway, yesterday I went out and I found one set for just $3.99. It is not bad after all. Here are the photo's. I wish I could find more of this but I know this is one of a kind. Don't you like the design I so loving it. ^_^

                                             
                                      And what about this! I do not know what is the name of this but I have glasses like this color. And so it fits with my Thanksgiving Tablescape next week. Watch out for that ^_^

Found it on the archive. These are the blue plates that the guy sells for $4.00 not a set but the whole thing! These was the start of my blue dishes hunting expedition galore! ^_^

My New Shoes

 A friend and I went last week to DSW looking for shoes. There are many kinds of shoes in that place but some I do like but expensive, some I like it's not expensive but won't fit. We've looking around and around even to the clearance sales rack until I found this shoes. The price is almost $40.00 and it has a tag of purple and that means 30% off which leads me to pay to almost $30.00. I love this shoes because I don't feel like it is a high heel. And it's very sexy looking shoes fit to wear with skinny jeans which I had it already, lol! The thing with skinny jeans I should not eat one week so my tummy stays flat, lol!! But oh well I just had to camouflage it with jacket or a coat maybe? Will see! ^_^

Air Purifier Plant

Do you know that there are plants that naturally purify the air? When Bobby a blogger blog about these plants. I immediately google the name. Fortunately, I know most of the plants they are mostly tropical and luckily growing up we are surrounded with this plants.  And because it purifies the air I almost immediately looked at our stores some of the plants and luckily they have it there. I bought two worth $19.99 each, yes that's so expensive while back in my native country Philippines you can see this plant just along the road and nobody cares. Well my mom cares for her plants that is why I grow up loving plants. Anyway, the other day I transplanted all my plants to a bigger pot. Here are the two air purifier plants,

This is my plastic plant. I decided to throw this away and replace it with a live plants. See the dust? No wonder hubby always sneeze, lol!

Here is my new acquired plant. They call it here MASS CANE. My mother used to plant these at home as indoor plants. Now I am having it and when I see this plant it reminds me of her, because I used to watched her wiping each leaf to make it shiny.













Then the other day two of my friends went shopping. We went to Michaels and saw this pillow case which is just right with my two small pillows. I bought it for only .30 cents each. Do you like the color and the words?

                                           It is so cute right? Can't beat with the price,  real good deal/

Mums

                A friend of mine planted different colors of mums last year. This year it multiplied and with different colors growing side by side it created some beautiful colors.

I never realized mums are beautiful. That is why last night she gave me all of these colors and I planted it right away. I hope next year it will multiply and will bloom like this. Tomorrow I am going to the store to find on sale mums I am crazy of mums now  ^_^

A morning after pill

I just heard this morning on our tv local news that this "morning after pills" will be available in our leading drugstores. I was "oh wow" that is not something that many parents would like, I guess! And so a thought came out on my mind, how do parents talked to their teenagers kids about SEX?? We know for sure that in their school they are already thought about what's the uses of contraceptive. And watching tv, movie and listening to music a lot of talking about sex is being written. So for the parents whose children are bombarded with this information how are you going to let them know the real facts about it. 

We all knew that the number of teenage pregnancy escalate rapidly for the past few years. And as Joy Behar commented on her show (look at here Joy Behar) that pills could prevent from abortion, well I beg to disagree with that. Is it a struggle for parents to talk about sex to their sons and daughters but teachers and the influences outside are their who had no qualms in telling them about this things. 

I just wonder does parents teach their kids to  practice chastity now a days? Or do they have  no voice at all because they feel that they don't have the power to discipline their teenagers? But we don't do nothing to stopped this movie, tv shows, music and any kind of entertainment showing all this crap? How is that? I have two nieces and one nephew and sooner or later they will be in their teen-age years. Me and my brother talked to them already about things that would happen and will happen if they choose not the right thing. And I pray a lot for them. 

How healthy are your scalp and hair?

While I was a bit younger (ahemm) I don't have a problem with dandruff I haven't been. But I noticed when I reached at the end of my 30's I started to have dandruff and dry skin. Before I have an oily face but now I have to put night/day hydrating cream so as not to dry my face. Anyhow, here is some A checklist...

Scalp test

         A healthy scalp should have an even skin color, minus bumps or redness.

Dandruff test

         Dandruff is caused by stress or even hormonal fluctuations ( I think I do fit in here!!)

Hair Loss

          Should normally be anywhere up to 50 strands a day. More than that may mean a nutritional or hormonal problem.

Flexibility

           Healthy hair should have a bounce-back quality and must be stretchable without snapping.
