I Support Walgreens

The first time I came here in USA, I could not believe I could find huge pharmacy anywhere and even in the wee hours of the night it is open. Back in the Philippines especially in my hometown you cannot find one or two that is open 24/7 well there is only about four pharmacies in my city at that time. What I am trying to say is here in the US in time of emergency to buy medicine or any stuff an available pharmacy is open anytime. I looked around in our area and found Walgreens as my favorite. It has everything a woman likes to find even in the middle of the night. 

Today, I found out this press release between Walgreens and Express Scripts .  I am stunned of what I have read I could not believe  so I called hubby and asked him to explained it to me. We found out that Express Scripts did not renew their contract with Walgreens and that means a lot of things would be change. Of course, we are unhappy, shocked, stunned, and feeling just bad. Because we have to transfer my hubby’s prescription to another pharmacy and we have to drive a bit far. For what do you think? Nothing that  I can think of because we have to pay the cost more than what we pay at Walgreens. They have Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens and ever since hubby had his prescription taken cared at Walgreens we did save a lot! Our economy is not doing great and savings in any way we can is just an appropriate thign to do.

Then in the news only Walgreens among others want to help support and serve the troops but Express Scripts is standing the way. Tricare is Express Scripts clients, which is the health and prescription program for America’s military service men and women. Walgreens took two-step forward to negotiate Express Scripts in giving our troops prices that would match or the beat the average costs per adjusted prescription. However, sad to say Express Scripts rejected that offer. Therefore, what do we expect to our military men, they would feel unhappy and disappointed. So what we can do is to voice our dissatisfaction call radio station about this and or write something in your blog. Talk to your family, relative, friends and neighbors. Spread the word and in this generation, one of spreading the news fast is through social media. Therefore, I am asking you to support Walgreens by linking them on Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook. By doing so, we will be updated to any news hurry up link, talk and write now.
