Blue Dishes

Yesterday, I went out looking for a blue dish. You see my love for blue dishes started when I was garage sale-ing and this guy gave me his one box of blue dishes for just $4.00!! Yup it's a whooping $4.00 I almost fainted. Anyway, yesterday I went out and I found one set for just $3.99. It is not bad after all. Here are the photo's. I wish I could find more of this but I know this is one of a kind. Don't you like the design I so loving it. ^_^

And what about this! I do not know what is the name of this but I have glasses like this color. And so it fits with my Thanksgiving Tablescape next week. Watch out for that ^_^

                                                                             Show and Tell Friday
                                                                             Follow Friday 40 and over

Found it on the archive. These are the blue plates that the guy sells for $4.00 not a set but the whole thing! These was the start of my blue dishes hunting expedition galore! ^_^

Thanks for visiting my blog - I'm happy you enjoyed my Blue Willow dishes! It looks like the set you got for $4.00 is also Blue Willow pattern! Great price, too! The other set you got is also very pretty! I'm your newest follower!

Sometimes on old sets of dishes, you will find the name and manufacture's name on the bottom of the dishes..like back of plate. That first set looks very similar to a set that belonged to my dear MIL that she bought at an estate auction one time for $103. The set had a lot of pieces to it. The soup bowls have handles on each side which is unique; this set even has egg cups(for soft boiled eggs)They are old so they are probably not dishwasher safe. My MIL's set has some chips around the edges on some of the pices, but I love them still. She knew what she had when she bought them.
